Miss brooke
Brooke Winkelman is a dancer, choreographer, and dance educator who recently moved to Los Angeles. She graduated from University of the Arts in Philadelphia where she received a BFA in Dance under Donna Faye Burchfield and a minor in Business. Previously, she trained at Centre Pointe in Baltimore where she studied a variety of styles and later returned to serve as a teacher. Brooke currently works and performs with Geometry Dance Company under the direction of Mackenzie Martin. With Geometry she most recently performed in their evening length work “Walk On”. Other performance experience includes work choreographed and directed by Sidra Bell, Tommie-Waheed Evans, Katie Swords Thurman, Sara Procopio and Mark Caserta. Additionally, Brooke danced in the Bad Boys of Ballet with the Adrienne Canterna Maryland Concert Series.
She loves sharing her joy for dance with children of all ages and can’t wait to work with the students at Sophie Dance !
