“Dance transformed my life, giving me opportunities and skills I could not have imagined as a child when I first began to dance. Each and every year of dance and performance brought its own kind of excitement. But what dancing truly gave me was never the titles. It was discipline, courage, and the ability to perform when the stakes are high. Dance opened the world of beauty and art for me. It taught me how to be a team player. Christina was born in Russia and started her dance journey at the age of five at a Russian ballet school. The foundation and technique she gained in ballet led her to pursue other dance styles, including competitive ballroom dancing, and created opportunities to perform across the world — eventually bringing her to the United States. Christina became a U.S. National Vice-Champion in Professionals, represented the United States at two World Championships, and was a top-20 finalist on the TV show So You Think You Can Dance.
Today, Christina enjoys teaching the next generation of dancers and is active in volunteer work supporting underprivileged children.
