For as long as Lisa can remember, she has been writing, learning, and performing music.  From a young age, she participated in musical theater and musical groups, and some of her favorite teachers were at the piano or on a theater stage.  As a math teacher for four years in the Bronx, it became clear that Lisa missed creating and performing, and that she wanted to bring more of her creative passions to her teaching practice. 

In the past year, Lisa has released her first full length album (Lisa Jean Moran on all streaming services, if you like folky vibes!) and moved across the country to LA, where she is lucky enough to make music every day.  When she isn’t teaching or performing music, Lisa works as a freelance illustrator and printmaker.
